Ruperta’s Obituary Ruperta G. Flores, 83, wife of the late Ramon V. Flores, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 in the comforts of her home. Born March 27, 1935, in Ballinger, Texas, she was the daughter of Ignacio Gonzalez and Angela Martinez. She attended Ballinger Public School, Ballinger, TX.

She was employed at Irving ISD and worked as a maintenance engineer. She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Dallas, TX. She enjoyed sewing quilts, going to play bingo, scratch off tickets, her word search books, and cooking tamales and tortillas.

She will be remembered for her strength and perseverance. As well as not just being a mom and a grandma to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren but to the whole neighborhood. She is survived by her children, Estella Flores-Arellano and her husband Adrian Arellano of Grand Island, NE, Rudy Flores and his wife Estela Flores of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, MX, Steven Flores of Omaha, NE and Samie Flores from Dallas, TX, 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and hundreds of Honorary Grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Pauline Garcia of Irving, Texas, Carolina Perez of Ballinger, Texas, and Javier Gonzalez of Ballinger, Texas and by her nieces and nephews. In addition to her late husband Ramon, she was predeceased by her daughters, Isabelle, Becky and Lola. The viewing will be on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 1 PM to 8 PM at Calvary Funeral Home.

The rosary as well be on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 6:30 PM.
