Russell E. Gernert of Somerset, NJ passed away September 18, 2018 at St. Peters University Hospital. He was 53 years old. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was raised in East Brunswick before relocating to Somerset in 1990.

He was employed as a mechanic by Scheideler Excavating of Hightstown, NJ. Predeceased by his parents Dorothy and John, Russell is surived by his beloved wife of 23 years Judy (née Geer) and loving children Russell, Cheyenne, and Dakota. Friends and family will be received Saturday 2-4pm at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ.

The funeral service will be celebrated at 4pm at the funeral home. Final disposition is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
