Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Ms. Ruth Ann Rice Carter, age 71 of Garysburg, NC, who transitioned into eternal rest at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC on Monday, February 18, 2019. Ruth, daughter of the late Jacob and Mary L Majette Rice, was born November 5, 1947.

Public Viewing will be Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at Cofield Mortuary. A Celebration Honoring the Life and Spirit of Ms. Ruth Ann Rice Carter will be held Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from The Sanctuary of Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC with the Pastor, Rev. Edwin L. Horsley giving words of comfort.

Ms. Carter will lie in state at the church one hour (10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.) prior to the service and will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. The Cofield Family and Staff of Cofield Mortuary are honored to provide comfort, assistance and service to The Carter-Rice Family. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning”.
