Marjorie, daughter of George Mitchell and Rosa Scott, was born April 23, 1931 in Northampton County, NC. Viewing will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Cofield Mortuary.

A Celebration Honoring the Life and Spirit of Mrs. Marjorie Vernell Sledge will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. from The Sanctuary of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, Weldon, NC with the Pastor, Rev. Willie M. Greene, giving words of comfort. Mrs. Sledge will lie in state at the church prior to the service and will be laid to rest in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The Cofield Family and Staff of Cofield Mortuary are honored to provide comfort, assistance and service to The Sledge Family. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning”.
