Obituary for Ruth Berg “Bobby” Jensen (Berg) Jensen, Ruth Berg “Bobby”, Age 79 of Richfield, passed peacefully on November 15th, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bobby was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Bea Berg and numerous beloved cats and dogs. Bobby is survived by her loving sons, Rick (Sally) and Bruce (Paige); grandchildren, Emily (Mark) Hinner, Kendra, Matthew, Katie, Dan and Max; and brother, John C. Berg.

Bobby was a University of Minnesota graduate and a proud member of Alpha Delta Pi. Bobby worked as an elementary school teacher and, later, as a substitute teacher. She was active in the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution, volunteered with Ebenezer and was also a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem for the Hennepin County Courts.

Bobby practically grew up on Lake Minnetonka’s Big Island as her parents ran the DAV Camp there for many, many years and had numerous fond memories of her time there. She enjoyed travel, long walks, reading and was an avid amateur military historian. Bobby loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11 AM at Huber Funeral Home Chapel, 520 Second Street, Excelsior, MN 55331. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Private interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Excelsior. Reception following the interment at the South Shore Community Center, 5735 Country Club Road, Shorewood, MN. Memorials preferred to NC Little Memorial Hospice, Edina, MN 55435.
