Obituary for Curly McNutt Carl “Curly” McNutt, 95-year-old WWI Navy Veteran, of Chanhassen, born in Custer, South Dakota, passed peacefully at home on January 15, 2019. He is preceded in death by his son, Mike in 1971; his wife, Margie in 2008; and 6 siblings. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Schneider; brother-in-law, Cletus Remer; children, Bob, Mary Jo, and Tom (Lynne); grandchildren, Shannon, Kelly (Nicole), Patrick, Kevin, Sara, Michael, and Andrea; great-grandchildren, Alix and Kaili; and many nieces and nephews.

Curly was an avid woodworker and enjoyed making various projects for friends. He enjoyed many sports either as a player or a spectator, especially bowling and golf. Curly loved animals, especially his dog, Flynn.

He was a friend to all who met him. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to one of his favorite charities, Operation Smile (www. operationsmile.org/donate).

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 10:30 AM with a visitation beginning at 9:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Ln. , Eden Prairie, MN 55346. Interment at Fort Snelling.
