Obituary for June Ann Hamsher (Szysh) Print June Ann Hamsher – Age 70, Excelsior MN, Born December 31 1948, Died February 16 2019 My darling wife and soul mate for nearly 41 years has passed away, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. June’s lifelong passion for the fine arts was developed by Temple University’s Tyler School of Art. The artistic talent expressed in her paintings, drawings, photography, embroidery and quilting was beyond compare.
She had a sparkling wit and easy laugh that would brighten anyone’s day. Even in her illness, she could bring sunshine into your life. Albert Einstein said – “Our task must be to free ourselves … by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty”.
June embodied that spirit. Her deep love of nature was inspiring to all who knew her. She never lost the childhood delight of nature’s gifts, and was a true steward of the earth.
Marvel in natures wonders and treat the earth with respect, and you will be honoring June’s memory. June will always be that shy beautiful girl in the bright red dress that I married nearly 41 years ago. Be at peace my love.
You are always in my heart, and I will love you forever.
