Carlock, 89, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, January 4th in The Villages, Florida. She was born on December 16, 1929 to Minnie (Roberts) and Willie Marsh of Checotah, Oklahoma. She spent some of her childhood in Oklahoma and the rest of her life in Illinois.

She Married Dale Carlock in Aurora, IL on July 2, 1947. She was a homemaker. Ruth enjoyed church, her children, and her grandchildren, camping in a RV, and always loved going to Oklahoma to see her many relatives, even speaking to them until 2 days before her death.

She is survived by daughters, Carol (Bill) Gates of Sycamore, Linda (Keith) Elliott of The Villages, FL; daughter-in-law, Teresa Casey of Geneva; sister, Bonnie (Jim) Wallace of Owego, NY; sister-in-law, Joyce Yearton; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dale Carlock; son, Mike Casey; granddaughters, Heather Porter, Brenda Carlock; and grandson, Nathan Casey; brothers, Troy, Joe, and Bill Yearton. Services will be on Friday, January 11th at Butala Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave in Sycamore, IL.

Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00PM with the service immediately following at 3:00PM. Pastor Brandon Arneson of Glad Tidings Assembly of God will be officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Ohio Grove Cemetery, Barber Greene Road, Sycamore, IL.
