Ruth E. “Dolly” Adams, 88, of Tower City, passed away Wednesday morning at her home. Born in Orwin, February 18, 1930, a daughter of the late Earl and Ida Kohr Adams. Dolly was a graduate of the former Porter-Tower High School.

She was retired from the garment industry. She had also worked at Tallman Farms and Tower Mini Market. She was a very active member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Orwin, where she was a sunday school teacher and a member of the ladies aide.

Dolly’s family meant the world to her. She enoyed cooking and baking, especially making candy for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Adams, 2015.

Surviving are her two children, Lisa Keiser wife of Michael, Williamstown and Richard “Sam” Adams, husband of Judy, Orwin; six grandchildren, Richard Adams, Jr., and his wife Jess; Stephanie Welgo; Daniel and Jacob Adams; Benjamin and Hannah Keiser; three great grandchildren, Wyett and Adrianna Welgo; Elliott Adams, one sister, Cardy Shutt, Orwin; Nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 16th at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City with Revs. Maureen Duffy-Guy and Edward Gobrecht.

Visitation will be from 1-2 at the chapel. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Orwin. Memorial donations in Dolly’s name should be made to St. Peter’s UCC, 427 Dietrich Avenue, Orwin, PA 17980 or Compassionate Care Hospice, 3897 Adler Pl, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
