Ruth E. (Deitmer) Wagner, 93, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, passed away June 20, 2018 at Anna’s Healthcare CBRF in Sturgeon Bay with her husband by her side. She was born September 19, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Carl and Bernice (Schoelzel) Deitmer. On May 5, 1945, Ruth married Eugene “Gene” Wagner in Chicago, IL.

She studied dressmaking at Lucy Flower High School and enjoyed sewing and crafting while a housewife caring for their two children. Ruth was raised and lived in Des Plaines, IL until she and Gene moved to Door County, WI in 2012 to be near their children, Nancy Andriacchi and Bob (Tina) Wagner. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Gene; and children.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Deitmer. No public services will be held. Huehns Funeral Home, Inc. & Door County Crematory LLC in Sturgeon Bay, WI are assisting the Wagner family.
