Ruth passed away March 19,2019. Ruth was born March 10,1921 in Montpelier, Idaho to Christian and Margareitha Schlunegger Gerber. Ruth grew up in Montpelier where she spent her days as a young girl helping her mother with the household chores.

She described it as a very simple life. She grew up in the time of the depression and had to make do with what they had, and this gave her a very good work ethic. When she was 14, she left home and worked as a live-in housekeeper.

She did this until she got married. In 1940 at the age of 19 she met and married Wilford Esterholdt, they divorced in 1963. To this union she had three children, whom she is survived by.

Bonnie Esterholdt Larson, Steven (Teresa Bragg) Esterholdt and Erick (Jeanne Reed) Esterholdt. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. In 1978, she met and married Charles Julian of Kemmerer, Wyoming.

Where she lived until she moved to Montpelier, Idaho to live out the rest of her days. A viewing will take place at Ball Family Chapel in Kemmerer, WY on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. Cremation will follow viewing, and inurnment will take place later in the Spring of 2019 at the South Lincoln Cemetery, Kemmerer, WY.
