Ruth’s Obituary Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Lee McBeth, 83, of Wesson, MS will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Capps Funeral Home Jerry Dean Britt will officiate. Burial will be in the Oral Cemetery. Mrs. McBeth passed away at Liberty Community Living Center in Liberty, Mississippi on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

She was born February 27, 1936 in Colfax, Louisiana to Jannie Viola Collins and Gaston Earnest McMillan. She was a member of New Sight Baptist Church in Brookhaven and worked for many years in the garment industry in Tylertown as a seamstress. In her later years, she worked at the Brookhaven Nursery doing what she loved best, planting and caring for plants and flowers.

She enjoyed taking care of her yard and planting flowers and watching them grow from her front porch swing. She was thrilled when her yard was chosen as Yard of the Month by the Wesson Flower Club. Mrs. Ruth always had a special dog to provide her company while she spent her time around the house and yard, and she leaves behind her special companion, Lady.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Junior McBeth, a son, Glenn Eugene McBeth, and her only brother, Jewell Gaston McMillan. Mrs. McBeth is survived by her children, Edward Ray McBeth and wife, Jackie of Tylertown; Brenda Sue Britt and husband, Jerry and Richard Dewayne McBeth all of Wesson. Grandchildren: Misty Lynn (Jason) Rideout; Blaine Cooper (Amber) Britt; Benjamin Keith (Angel) Britt; Duane Ross (Kristy) Britt; Darren Edward (Katie) Britt; Megan Elizabeth Britt; Veronica Ann McBeth; Billy (Carla) McBeth; and Rusty (Jessica) McBeth; great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Blaine Britt, Benjamin Britt, Duane Britt, Darren Britt, Jason Rideout, and Justin McMillan. Honorary pallbearers will be Cooper Britt and Zack Rideout. Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10:00 AM until service time at 12 noon.
