Obituary for Ruth Marie Kocher Ruth Marie Kocher, age 87, of Grants Pass, died April 19, 2018 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. Ruth was born June 10, 1930 at Compton, California. She graduated from the University of Southern California with honors in dental hygiene in 1952.

In 1954 she married John Kocher in Anchorage, Alaska. Ruth worked in various dental offices while living in Southern California. In 1998 she moved from Fountain Valley, California to Grants Pass.

Ruth was a member of the Sierra Club since 1968; the American Dental Hygiene Association; and the Canyon Explorers Club. Survivors include her husband, John Kocher and daughter, Holly Davenport both of Grants Pass, Oregon; four grandchildren, Jesse, Matthew, Jasmine and Izzak; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald John Kocher.
