Obituary for Ruth May Archer Ruth passed away on September 8, 2018 at the age of 99. She was known as Ruthie to many. Ruth was born in Colorado to Claude Lee and Mary Frances Galloway on June 11, 1919.

Together till John died in 1992, they raised two children, Bob Archer and Connie Van Houten. Ruth had 6 grand children and 16 great grandchildren. Ruth was a loved wife, mom, daughter, grandma, sister, aunt and friend.

She and John owned Armstrong Tires and Galloway’s Market on Fruitland in Kennewick. Ruth loved children, welcoming all into her immaculate home and yard and baking sweets for her visitors. Her beautiful smile, quick wit and laugh will be missed.

Her service will be on September 22 at 1PM at Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home at 1401 S. Union St., Kennewick. Following the service and burial there will be a “sweet” reception in Mueller’s hospitality room. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor can be made to Seattle Children’s Hospital (1-800-635-1432) or any battered women’s organization, which Ruth strongly supported.
