RUTH PEARL HICKEY January 18, 1929 – March 02, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Osage City–Ruth Pearl Hickey, 90, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on January 18, 1929, on the family farm near Olivet, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur and Elva Stephens Jones. Ruth grew up in the Olivet area and had lived in Lyndon for many years before moving to Osage City in 1993.

Ruth had worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance in Topeka and was a Homemaker for most of her life. Ruth was married to Merle Hickey on September 10, 1945 in Seattle, Washington. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Merle, on September 10, 1991; by her parents, Arthur and Elva; and by her five siblings, Thelma, Alton, Arlene, Donnie and Larry.

Ruth is survived by her son, Gary (Deborah) Hickey of Osage City; by her daughter, Debra Dickerhoof of Emporia; by her granddaughter, Beth (Shane) Weimer; and by her two great-grandchildren, Josey and Jake Weimer. Funeral services for Ruth will be at 11:00am on Friday, March 8 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will be in the Lyndon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions for Ruth may be made to the Lyndon High School (for the Honor Flight program), sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
