Ruth’s Obituary Ruth Rebecca Newman Revell, 98, of Doerun, died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Magnolia Manor-Pruitt Health. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Tucker officiating.

Interment will be held 4:00PM Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Bethesda Cemetery in Manchester, GA. Honorary casketbearers will be her grandchildren. Born February 20, 1920 in Manchester, GA.

, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Newman and Ollie Rebecca Bishop Newman. Mrs. Revell retried from Callaway Mills as a textile worker and was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Layfatte Lee Revell, Sr.; step-son, William Revell.

Survivors include her sons, Lee Revell and wife Sara Ann of Americus, Jimmy Revell and wife Priscilla of Doerun; grandchildren, Chris Revell and wife Katrina, Becky Croy and husband Toney, Kathy Davis and husband Ben, Jason Revell and wife Ashlee; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
