MADISON – Ryan James Linscheid, Sr., age 43, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones at Meriter Hospital. Ryan was born January 7, 1975 in Madison to his parents, James and Judith (Laufenberg) Linscheid. Ryan grew up on Madison’s northside where attended Gompers Primary school, Madison East high school, and Shabazz High School, graduating with the Class of 1993.
Throughout his life, Ryan strived to be active. He was a talented athlete who enjoyed playing sports such as football, golf and baseball. In addition to participating in athletics, he was a Wisconsin sports fan and enjoyed watching the Packer, Badger and Brewers’ games.
Ryan also enjoyed many outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing and was very knowledgeable about politics. He was a hard worker and loved his job at Stevens Construction Corporation, where he worked primarily as a Concrete Finisher. His co-workers and supervisors spoke highly of Ryan’s commitment and effort he put into all of his tasks.
Above all, he took great pride in his three beautiful children Taylor Marie, Ryan James Jr, and Bryden Nicholas whom he raised with the love of his life, Shannon. He and is only granddaughter Eila Ann, (daughter of Taylor, and Dominic) had a special bond that no man could break. The of his happiness stemmed from spending time with his family and coaching his kids’ sports teams when he wasn’t working.
Whether It was 5 minutes or an hour, he always made the most of his time with his children. He would most often be found with them on the ball field. He was most wonderful father they could have asked for and his legacy will forever live through them.
Although his family was his main priority, Ryan always made time to serve others in this community. He touched the hearts of many and will be remembered as a one of a kind.
