Sallie’s Obituary Sallie Irene Keeton, 84, of Port Washington, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 14, 2019, from the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, after a sudden illness. Born October 28, 1934 in Floyd Co., Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Amanda (Elliott) Horton. On May 19, 1951, Sallie married William T. “Bill” Keeton who survives her at their home.

She devoted herself to her family and will be remembered as a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was a faithful member of Newcomerstown Church of Christ in Christian Union who lived her life true to her deep faith in the Lord. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her husband, Bill; children, Frances (Ronald Sr.) Adkins, Hunter (Rosemary) Keeton, Vickie (Mario) Ionno and Nina (companion, Tom) Hawthorne; grandchildren, Rev.

Ronald (Jan) Adkins II, Isaac Keeton, Rachel (John) LaRussa, Jacob (Samantha) Keeton, Abraham (Heeja Ju) Keeton, Ezra Keeton, Giuseppe (companion, Jenna) Ionno, Michele Ionno, Giovanni (Stacy) Ionno, Bianca Ionno, Amanda Pendleton, Melissa Hawthorne, Mary (comptnion, Steve) Hawthorne and Melissa Hawthorne; great-grandchildren, Ronald III, Nathaniel, Elijah, Madison, Casey, Morgan, Sarah, Emily, Noah, Jude, Owen, Ramona, Matilda, Sofia, Gabe, Vincent, Adrianna, Raith, Braylen and Layla; her half-siblings in Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Rev. Ryan Adkins, and several half-siblings.

Services, officiated by Rev. James Reed and Rev. Ronald Adkins II, will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 20, at the Newcomerstown Church of Christ in Christian Union.

Interment will follow in West Union Cemetery near Gilmore. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newcomerstown Church of Christ in Christian Union.
