OBITUARY Salvador Michael Cinquigranno June 5, 1926 – December 2, 2018 Salvador Michael Cinquigranno died on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at home. He was 92 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; Sam and Rose Villani Cinquigranno.

He is survived by his longtime companion Winnie Butler. He is also survived by his two sons; Michael (Patsy) and John (Loretta) Cinquigranno, two grandsons; Ryan and Christopher Cinquigranno, two granddaughters; Michelle McCaslin (Jonathan) and Rebecca Cinquigranno and three great-grandchildren. Papa Bear is also survived by four stepchildren, five step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

Sal was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie most of his life. He graduated from Fortier High School. Sal served his country in the US Navy two times, in WWII and the Korean Conflict.

Sal graduated from Loyola University with a degree in Music. He played piano with the Burt Stevens Band, NORD musicals and private parties. In later years he volunteered at Ochsner and played the piano in the atrium each week.

Sal also held the chains for Tulane Green Wave football home games for 53 years. He was a Fuller Brush Man for many years. Sal also enjoyed his time spent with the Krewe of Bacchus.

Sal will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. , in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
