Sandra Diesel – Island Lake, IL Sandra “Teddy” Diesel, born August 24, 1954, peacefully passed away in her sleep on October 17, 2018 while on the trip of her lifetime in Kenya, Africa. Sandy is survived by her life partner Carol Weisbruch (nee Goldner) and her siblings William Diesel, James Diesel and Valerie (Bruce) Coulson. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Lorraine Diesel.

She was beloved by her many nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephews and by her extended… Read More » family through Carol. Sandy had worked as a Special Education Teacher and then became a Registered Nurse before retiring. She will be remembered for her love of family, her love of animals and her love of adventure.

She treasured time spent with family and friends and enjoyed playing games, especially a good game of Scrabble. She will be deeply missed. A celebration of life luncheon will take place in Sandy’s honor on Sunday, November 18th from noon – 3pm at Sideouts, 4018 Roberts Road, Island Lake, IL.
