Obituary for Sandra Elayn Hernandez (Hernandez ) A visitation and viewing time is scheduled for Sandra Elayn Hernandez, 47 this Sunday Jan. 20, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson. Cremation services will follow at Alexander Gray Crematory of Ringling.

Sandra was born on January 7, 1972 at Valparaiso, IN to Felix V. Hernandez and Sally Lee (Malone) Hernandez. She departed this life on Thursday Jan. 17, 2019 at her fathers home in Wilson.

Sandra was raised in Hillsboro, CA moving to Oklahoma in 1998. She resided in Ardmore until moving to Shattuck in 2009. Sandra briefly worked some as a caregiver and was primarily a correctional officer most of her working years.

She worked as a reserve police officer of the Wilson Police Dept. before becoming employed for the Carter County Detention Center. Afterwards she moved to Shattuck where she became the Jail administrator of Ellis County and lastly served as a correctional officer at the William Key Correctional Facility at Fort Seal.

. Sandra always loved her boys and enjoyed being with her family. Survivors include her two sons, Theodore Rea and Daniel Rea; grandchildren, Lena and Lila; father and stepmother, Felix and Darlene Hernandez; mother, Sally Hernandez; siblings Nancy Hernandez Fenney, Felix Hernandez III and Frank Hernandez; step siblings, Faron Morris, Lena Addiago, Peter Lonero, Frank Lonero and Billy Lonero; numerous other family and friends.
