Sandra J. Johnson, 62 of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born in Meigs Township on August 6, 1956. She is the daughter of Betty (Allison) Murphy of Zanesville and the late Jerold Mitchell.

She was a 1974 graduate of Philo High School and the Vocational School. She worked as a LPN for Primrose in Zanesville and she was a member of the New Hope Church in Zanesville. Sandy is survived by her mother; her husband, Roger Johnson, whom she married August 15, 1981; her two children, Allen (Christina) Johnson and Michelle Perone both of Zanesville; her five grandchildren, Carlee Johnson, Lindsee Johnson, Landon Johnson, Cayden Perone and Caitlynn Perone; her siblings, Steve (Jean) Mitchell of Philo, Susan Kennedy, Sherry (Bill) Rogers and Sally (Charles) Hammer all of Zanesville.

Sandy is preceded in death by her infant sister Sheila. Please consider making memorial contributions in Sandra’s name to the Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd SE, Newark, OH 43055. Visitations will be 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday with Pastor Joseph A. DiVincenzo officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
