Obituary for Sandra Jean Alexander Sandra J. Alexander died July 8, 2018 in Waxhaw, North Carolina due to natural causes. She was 81. Mrs. Alexander was born on April 21, 1937 to her parents, Willard “Bill” and Lula Johnson.

She graduated from Maroa High School and the School of Nursing at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She practiced as a Registered Nurse as well as a teacher of Nursing and Medical Terminology. She married Allan Alexander and lived in Danville, Illinois, Portland, Oregon, Berea, Kentucky and Johannesburg, South Africa.

She was a member at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville, Illinois. Sandra moved to North Carolina in 2013 to spend more time with her grandchildren. Sandra is survived by her sister Annetta Hensley of Decatur, Illinois, her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Debra Alexander of Waxhaw, North Carolina; and her two grandchildren; Ryan and Lauren Alexander.
