Funeral Services for Sandra Lynn McCain, 75, of Rusk, will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Goforth officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. McCain passed away February 22, 2019. She was born November 27, 1943 in Weatherford, Texas to the late R.O. and Lou Hill. She graduated from Aledo High School in 1962 and went on to attend Decatur Baptist College where she met and married Travis McCain.

She stayed at home to raise her children, and then ran Little People’s Learning Center in Rusk. Later she attended UT Tyler and graduated in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in education. She then taught school in Jacksonville and Rusk until her retirement.

She was a member of Rusk First Baptist Church, and was a lifelong Baptist. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 38 years, Travis McCain. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Torri and Curtis Acheson of Leander, Kris and Scott Nance of Rusk, Daniel and Tatum McCain of Frisco, brother, Don and Teddi Hill of Arlington, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
