Sandy Olson, 69, passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2019 at his home. Sandy was the fourth of seven siblings and the son of the late Arnold Olson and Dorothy Floyd Smiley, and stepdad, Lewis Smiley. He was married to Phyllis Kinsey Olson for 24 years prior to her death.

Sandy is survived by a brother, Terry Olson; sisters, Penny Olson Chandler, Jo Olson Dyer, Louise Smiley Coursey, and Becky Van Loozen McCarty. He was preceded in death by an older brother, John W. Olson; and a sister, Geraldine Olson Hutto. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be mad to a charity or organization of your choice. An informal visitation to celebrate Sandy’s life will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
