Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Santiago “Jimmy” Flores entered The Gates of Heaven September 1, 2018. He was born in Laredo, Texas, March 27, 1942. Jimmy is preceded in passing by his parents, Emeterio and Ramona Flores; Son, Joseph Flores.

He is lived on by his high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Anna Maria Flores. He is also survived by children, Adriana Flores, Ada Flores, Cynthia Flores and Santiago Peter Flores (Paula); siblings, Francisca “Kika” Valdez and Rodolfo Flores. Jimmy is the proud grandparent of Jacob (Jaclyn), Audrey, Joshua, Alyssa (Steven), Cecily (Rudy), Joseph (Gabby), Julian, Jeremy, Jonathan, Ciera, Celeste; great grandchildren, Josiah, Alexa, Persephone, Jonah, Gabriel Jude and Joshua.

Jimmy was passionate about family including his numerous nieces and nephews. His favorite hobbies included bragging about his loved ones, telling stories of fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, gambling and traveling. Before marrying and starting a loving tight-knit family, Jimmy served in the Army and the National Guard from 1961 to 1968.

He later went on to work for H.E.B as a truck driver and then furthered his career with the company until retiring after 19 years. Family and friends will remember Jimmy’s sense of humor, welcoming nature, and supportive spirit.
