Sara’s Obituary Mrs. Sara LaVaughn “Bonnie” Parker, 90, of Port St. Joe, FL, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at her home. Born in Sylvester, GA she moved here in 1974 from Sylvester. She was a waitress, a receptionist, Big Momma to young and old.

Mrs. Parker worked at Town and Country Restaurant in Sylvester, GA, Hambrick Construction and owned and operated a daycare. She was a member of Beach Baptist Chapel in Port St. Joe and was a member of the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU). Mrs. Parker is preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Catherine Jackson Walker and Green Samuel Walker; her first husband, Frank Powell and her second husband, Donald Parker; son, Harold Kenny Harris; brother, John Thomas Walker Woodrow Wilson Walker and Green Samuel Walker, Jr.; sister, Vera Mae Walker Chapman.

She is survived by two sons, James Randall Powell and wife Tabaitha, Samuel Eugene Powell and wife Debbie; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Harris; close cousin, Margaret Carter; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. EST on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Beach Baptist Chapel in St. Joe Beach with Pastor David Nichols officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.
