Obituary for Sarah Elizabeth “Pete” Phillips PHILLIPS, Ms. Sarah Elizabeth “Pete” – age 73, passed away Friday April 13, 2018 at her residence. Family hour 10:00AM Thursday, April 26, 2018 from Greater Bibleway Temple, 1180 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00 AM. Elder James Manns, Officiating.

Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Thursday. Ms. Phillips will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday. Ms. Phillips leaves to cherish her memory: children, Kirk Rubin Meadows and Lakeshia Meadows; mother, Nellie B. Ford; siblings, Bettie (Curtis) Britton, Sr., Dorothy (James) Moore, Shelia Vaughn, Gentria Flentroy, Johnny (Kelly) Ford and Amelia “Ann” Nobel; grandchildren, De’Monica and Charvon Meadows; great grandchildren, Anthony, Jaden, Cameren and Danyla Miller; aunt, Chanie Mae Richardson; uncle, Arthur (Rose) Moore, Sr. and other relatives and friends.

Ms. Phillips was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Steven Gilmore; father, A. C. Gilmore; step-father, Floyd Ford; siblings, Robert Lee Gilmore, Lula Ann Mathis, Bobbie Nell Gilmore, and Ida Mae Gilmore; aunt, Ida Lee Kendricks; nephew, Rasheem Ford and great nephew, Javontae Ford.
