Obituary for Scott M. Greeley Scott M. “Red Dog” Greeley, 56 of Salem, NH, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at his home. Born on April 13, 1962, he was the son of the late Frank R. Greeley, Sr. and Norma (Williams) Greeley. He graduated from the Greater Lawrence Technical School, class of 1980.

Scott was a union laborer for 38 years, until his retirement on March 17, 2017. Scott was meticulous, skilled and took great pride in his work. In his free time he loved being with family and friends.

He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, which he considered his “air therapy”. He also liked spending time on his boat at Arlington Pond, cook outs, cigars, sports and the gym. Scott was a proud and loving father to his late son, Kevin Coady.

Scott will be remembered for his great wit, larger than life personality and most importantly, his big heart. Scott was a giver to all in his life and the most loyal friend and family man. Scott will be deeply missed by his 3 siblings, Frank R. Greeley, Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Methuen, Kevin Greeley of North Andover, and Brigid Greeley and her fiancé, George Secchiaroli III, of Amesbury, MA; 4 nephews, Joseph, Michael, Kyle and Shawn; 3 nieces, Jennifer, Kimberly and Ashley; his girlfriend, Sally Younker, of Salem, NH; his step-mother, Mary Greeley of Methuen; his brother-in-law, Ignatius Maiorana, Jr.; his beloved dog, Kenzi and countless close friends.

He is predeceased by his son, Kevin Coady and his sister, Deborah Maiorana. Family and friends will honor and celebrate Scott’s life by gathering for his calling hours at the Kenneth H.
