Born on February 25, 1999 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Gordon and Valerie (Reed) Beers. He was a 2017 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School, where he played football and wrestled, and where he was a member of the History Club, Varsity Club, and the National Honors Society.

He also graduated in 2017 from CCCTC from their electrical program. He attended Edinboro University through the Penelec PSI Program. He was a member of the IBEW Local 459.

He worked for Penelec as an Apprentice Lineman. He attended Brisbin Baptist Church. He was a volunteer with the Good News Club.

Scott loved the outdoors, his hunting buddies, and to work with his dad in the garage. He was always willing to help someone in need. Scott’s house was a central meeting place for all his friends.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, a sister, Regina Beers, maternal grandmother, Marie Reed, and paternal grandmother, Judith (John) Watson, aunts and uncles, Bob and Margie Houser, Breck and Karen Reed, Eric and Tammy Beers, Dave and Brandi Beers, and numerous loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Reed, and paternal grandfather, Leslie Beers. Family will receive friends Friday from 2:30-5:30 PM at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey.

Funeral Service will be 11 AM Saturday at Brisbin Baptist Church, with Pastor David Taylor and Pastor Kevin Howard officiating. Private interment will be in Beulah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Scott William Reed Beers Memorial Scholarship, c/o the Moshannon Valley Community Education Foundation, attn: Elsie Harchak, 4934 Green Acres Road, Houtzdale, PA 16651.
