Scotty L.’s Obituary Scotty L. Hastings, age 79, of Idalou, passed away, Tuesday, January 8, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Idalou. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore Rose Funeral Home of Idalou.

Scotty was born on March 23, 1939 in Lubbock, Texas to Eulin and Zonelle Hastings. He married Marsalee Windom on February 23, 1984. The couple enjoyed 34 years of marriage.

Scotty spent his time devoted to his family and his community. He was a trustee, usher, and member of the First United Methodist Church in Idalou. Scotty enjoyed his time as a Lions Club member, served on the Idalou Cemetery Board, and was a director and driver for Meals on Wheels.

He was employed at Security and Vista Bank until he retired. One of his favorite past times was playing golf. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marsalee, 3 sons; Bryan Hastings of Houston, Brad Hastings of Ft. Worth, Brandon Hastings of Levelland, 3 step sons, Johnny Vineyard and wife Lela, Archie Vineyard, Kelly Vineyard and wife Charlotte, a step daughter; Windi Catchpool and husband Jim, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Meals on Wheels at 2304 34th Lubbock, Texas 79411, Idalou Cemetery at P.O Box 1365, Idalou, Texas 79329, or the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund at P.O. Box 885 Idalou Texas 79329.
