Sgt. Cesar H. Diaz passed away at his home in Colorado Springs on December 1st, 2018. He was born on December 10th, 1992 in Ventura California.

He was raised in Atwater California. He was survived by his wife, Karissa Diaz. His mother and father, Juana Hernandez and Luis Diaz.

His siblings Jose and Christina Diaz and his niece Leilani Vargas. Cesar joined the United States Army as an infantry man in May 2015. Cesar served at his first duty station in Honolulu, Hawaii and his second in Fort Carson, Colorado.

He was the definition of a respectable leader and loyal comrade. In December 2019 Cesar was going to join the National Guard and continue his education. He enjoyed anything outdoors and found solace in a lot of little things.

He was such a well-respected son, husband, brother, uncle and soldier to so many people. Those who knew him, know that he was a man of upmost character, and someone who accepted people for who they were, without judgment. There is not a person in this world who did not feel the warmth, love, loyalty, kindness and the sincerity of Cesar Diaz.

He will be missed by every soul he has encountered and will surely never be forgotten. We to you, Cesar, will always be “loyal to the soil”.
