Sharon Byrns, age 71, of Seaford, DE passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Riviera Beach, Anne Arundel county Maryland. Sharon was the daughter of the late Jared E. and Ellen McEachern Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Patricia and her first husband Gerald Sears.

Sharon worked for the Seaford School district, both as a teacher’s aide and as a bus driver for the School’s Transportation Department before her retirement. Sharon is survived by her husband Robert L. Byrns and a sister Kathleen Wellham. She also leaves behind her two cats, Biggie and Itsy who she cared for dearly.

Her husband would like to thank the ICU staff at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. A visitation for family and friends will be held at St. John’s Methodist Church, Pine & Poplar Streets, Seaford on Tuesday, February 5th, from 12 noon until 1pm with the service beginning at 1pm. Burial will be private.
