Obituary for Sharon G. (Vestal) Hook MCCORDSVILLE – Sharon Gwen (Vestal) Hook, age 64, of McCordsville, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Community Hospital North. She was born on January 9, 1954 in Rainelle, West Virginia as the daughter of Theodore and Edith (Wright) Vestal. Sharon married John D. Hook on March 18, 1972 in Indianapolis.

She was a homemaker and for many years Sharon ran a childcare center out of her home. Sharon loved spending time with her family and most importantly loved God. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, and was an avid Pacers fan.

Sharon is survived by her husband, John D. Hook of McCordsville; son, John D. (Amy) Hook of South Whitley, IN; daughters, Carrie A. (Andrew) Hofer-Erdos of McCordsville and Sarah E. Hook of Fishers; siblings, Carroll Vestal, Ted Vestal, David Vestal, Henry Vestal, Danny Vestal, Anna Vestal, Peggy Hamrick, and Helen Kelly; and 12 grandchildren, Ashly, Owen, Gracie, Jessica, Austin, Drew, Tristan, Alayna, Madylin, Ethan, Wyatt, and Gavin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Edith Vestal; and sister, Francis Martin. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville IN 46040.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Darryl Denney will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
