Barbara J. Reed, 86, of Fortville, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 in Fortville, surrounded by her family. She was born May 2, 193 in Amesbury, Massachusetts, to Charles and Helen (Morrison) Richardson. Barbara retired from the Ft.

Benjamin Harrison Finance Center as a Dependency Claim Examiner after over 20 years of service. She was member of the Fortville Book Club and attended the Fortville Christian Church. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Shari (Scott) Reed of Greenfield and Terri Reed of Fortville; grandchildren: Misty, Falicia and Christopher Kendrex, Kristi Brown, Matthew Leary, Rachel Starr, Mike and Jim Reed; 9 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dana (Louise) Richardson of New Hampshire.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Reed; son, Charles Reed; and her parents. Graveside services for Barbara will be held on Thursday October 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
