Obituary for Larry D. Harper Greenfield- Larry D. Harper, age 69, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on July 10, 1949 in Indianapolis, as the son of Kenneth Harper and Gladys (Williams) Harper. He worked as the Vice President of Manufacturing for Roll Coater in Greenfield for 36 years, before retiring in 1998.

Larry enjoyed working on his 69 Plymouth Blue black vinyl top GTX and burgundy white vinyl top 68 Dodge Cornett 500. He was a handyman and loved traveling, reading, and being outside. Larry was also a man of strong faith; He went on several mission trips and loved his family, grandkids, great-grandkids, and his mother.

He is survived by his life-long friend and mother of his only child, Pat Harper; brother, James W. Harper; sisters, Judy Harper, Deanna West, and Regina Harper; 2 grandchildren, Renae and Jake Harper; and 6 great-grandchildren, Isaac, Axel, Tyler, Morgan, Sammi, and Mattelynn. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Matthew Harper. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy.

40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Dan Koenig will be officiating.

Burial will follow at Philadelphia Church Cemetery in Greenfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
