Obituary for Melissa Y. (Wagers) Parks WILKINSON – Melissa Y. (Wagers) Parks, age 50, of Wilkinson, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018. She was born on January 28, 1968 in Connersville, Indiana. She graduated from Knott Central High School in Hindman, KY and obtained her LPN degree through Ivy Tech.

Melissa married Randall B. Parks on December 31, 1994. She was a nurse for many years. Melissa was a member of Greenfield Church of Christ.

She enjoyed crocheting and making crafts. She most of all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. Melissa is survived by her husband, Randall Parks; children, Mekyla Parks, Austin Parks, Mekynlee Parks, and Caleb Parks; parents, Frank and Pamela Bentley; and grandchildren, Lakynn and Lorelye Parks.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman Pennington and Clarice Pennington. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.

A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Richmond, IN. Friends may share a memory or a condolence at www. erleweinmortuary.com.
