Obituary for Sharon Rae Lowery Sharon went home to our heavenly father on April 24, 2018 due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in 1941 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late Irma and Wilfred Pappenfus. Her family moved to Dallas in 1952 where she later graduated from North Texas State University with a degree in clothing design.

Sharon made significant contributions to the clothing industry over the next 30 years. Sharon was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church and a member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church in Coppell Texas. In her free time Sharon enjoyed hunting, fishing, bingo and spoiling her two boys.

Services will be held on Saturday May 12th at 11am at Gateway Funerals and Cremation at 17390 Preston Road, suite 310, Dallas, Texas 75252. She is survived by her husband of 49 years John, son Brad Lowery, Brad’s fiancé Charlene Lingo, brother Dennis, nephew Jim Pappenfus, niece Emily Evans and husband Eddy and great nieces Mary Kate, Abigail and Samantha Evans. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s association at bright focus foundation.
