Obituary for Sharon Rogers Farris Sharon Rose Rogers, 73, of Advance, MO. , formerly of Wayne County, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Advance Nursing Center. She was born in Randalls, MO, on February 11, 1945, to James and Mildred (Baxter) Lankford.

Sharon married Jerry Rogers and they were blessed with six children. She grew up in the Delta area and after marrying, she and Jerry traveled the United States for many years and worked in different areas. In the late 1960’s they decided to settle in Wayne County.

After Jerry preceded her in death, Sharon married Bill Farris who also preceded her in death. She was a friend to many, and a stranger to no one. Sharon was a non-denominational Christian and had attended Lowndes Community Church of Christ.

She was a very determined person that never met a stranger and was a mother to many. She was the mom everyone wished they had. She fed the hungry, clothed people and thought of others before herself and was loved by everyone.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; an infant son, Robert Rogers; a grandson, Jeremy Hall; brothers: James, Loman, C.J., J.D.; sisters: Geraldine, Ina, Iris, Josie, Kaye, Elaine, Virginia and Dolly. Sharon is survived by her children: Jerry Rogers, Jr., and wife, Becky, of Greenville, MO; Rocky Rogers and wife, Tracy, of Lowndes, MO; Jenny Rogers of Lowndes, MO; Sherry Meyer of Murray, KY; Kathleen Marler and husband, Jimmy, of Greenville, MO; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Leona Lesch and husband, Don, of Delta, MO; Nita Bagwell of Cape Girardeau; Lela Jaco and husband, Kenny, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Kathie Razor of Chaffee, MO; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 4:30 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, MO. Services will follow Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 2:00 pm also at the chapel. Burial will follow at Lowndes Community Church Cemetery.
