Obituary for Sharon S. Denham Sharon Denham won her battle and entered into her eternal rest on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at age 61. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Chuck Denham; children, Matthew (Amy) Briscoe, Brett Denham (Christina Taylor), and Brooke (Phillip) Rice; grandchildren, Austin Whited, Kaitlyn Whited, Hailey Whited, Kyla Briscoe, Becca Kelly, Matthew Briscoe, Lydia Swann, Nate Denham, Carson Rice, Anna Kelly, Daphne Kelly, Ella Rice, Arabella Denham, and Elijah Denham; one nephew, Randy Reeves; and two nieces, Lori Howell and Buffy Schmidt. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Sterling and Helen Smith; two sisters, Ginger Reeves and Vickie Gilliland; one brother, Charles Speaks; and nephew, Thomas Gilliland.

Sharon retired after many years of service with AT&T. She was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. She spent the last 15 years heavily involved in women’s prison ministry as she believed it was her calling.

She had a huge impact on countless lives and the effects of her ministry will continue for many years. Visitation will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Gardendale First Baptist Church North Campus with the service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
