JOY-Sheila M. 67, Johnstown, passed away on December 18th, 2018 at her residence in Johnstown. Born January 10, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sheila was the daughter of Charles and Rosalie (Joy) Webb. Preceded in death by her parents, her foster parents Mallie and Oneil Holmes, her sister Mercedes Joy, her brother Charles Samuel Webb, and her cousins Sylvester Holmes and Reginald Stephens.

Survived by her sister Frances Webb (of Johnstown), her loving stepson DeShawn Lieb and her nieces and nephews Charles William Webb, Tamara (Davis) Hughes, Dennis Davis Jr. and their children. She was also survived by many other family members: Frances Stephens, Sara Joy, Mr. & Mrs. Lenny Joy, Lance Stephens, Carl Stephens, Marie Stephens, Rhonda Lynn (Stephens) Morris, Donald Stephens, Jerry Stephens, Randy Stephens, Deatrice Stephens, Pamela Stephens, Dorothea Stephens, Stephanie Stephens, and Brad Coleman. Sheila received her baptismal at Mt.

Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, Conemaugh, Pennsylvania. She received her education from the Conemaugh Valley School District. And obtained computer certifications from various institutions in Philadelphia, where she held numerous occupations before returning to Johnstown to retire.

Her personality will best be remembered as outgoing and free spirited. But also displaying fierce loyalty, compassion, caring and love for her family members and friends. Sheila truly enjoyed spending time with her sister and family.

She was a member of the Senior Life Day Care Center of Johnstown. And frequently visited with her numerous friends to include: those she grew up with on Chestnut St (Johnstown), attending Bingo with her friend “Mary Jo” from Connor Towers (Johnstown) and sharing laughs and fellowship with friends in Vine St Towers (especially her friend “Betty”). Family Members and friends will be received for Sheila’s Memorial Service on December 28, 2018 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at Vine St Towers Community Room (525 Vine St, Johnstown, Pennsylvania 15901).
