Obituary for Sheila Melman Jones Sheila Ruth Jones, 82, of Columbus, Ohio passed peacefully, on April, 4th, 2018 surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by husbands, Donald Mayes and David Jones Sr.,her mother Elsie Melman and her brother David Melman. Survived by her loving daughter Stephanie Gaiser (Mike Wasserman), son David Gaiser (LeAnn) Gaiser, and granddaughter Katherine and numerous cousins and nieces .

Sheila was fortunate to travel extensively with the “love of her life” David. She loved to work with her hands and to keep busy. Her passions included cooking for her family, painting, gardening, and birdwatching (the cardinal whisperer).

Sheila loved volunteering. Sheila was always involved in organizations including past president of B’nai B’rith women and a 25 year volunteer and past president of the volunteers at the Franklin Park Conservatory. She retired from Whitehall City Schools where she worked as a librarian for 20 years.

Sheila was a 20 year cancer survivor. Friends who wish to contribute in Sheila’s memory may donate to the Franklin Park Conservatory or to a cancer organization of your choice. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 8th at 11 AM at the Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St. Burial will be at New Agudas Achim Cemetery.
