Obituary for Shelton Tapscott Shelton Melton Tapscott, 77, of Paducah, passed away at 12:03 A.M. Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Shelton was born in Paducah on January 27, 1941 to Melton and Fannie Tapscott. He was employed for 25 years as a foreman for Grover C. Watkins, Inc

He was a hard worker who could accomplish most anything, and a man who enjoyed games with challenging odds. He will be remembered for the great love he had for his children and grandchildren. Mr. Tapscott is survived by his sons, Mike Tapscott (Sarah)and David Tapscott (Nikki), both of Paducah; his grandchildren, Payton Tapscott, Brooklyn Tapscott, Allie Tapscott, Cameron Tapscott, Olivia Tapscott, Mia Tapscott; his brother, John Jackson (Shelby) of Phoenix, Arizona.

Mr. Tapscott was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Martha Jane Clark Tapscott; his son, Jeffrey Lynn Tapscott; his parents, Melton Joseph Tapscott and Fannie Frances Ford Tapscott; his sister, Frances Jackson Henderson; his brothers, Ozzie Tapscott, Marvin Tapscott. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 16, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, with Pastor John Teodozow officiating. Entombment will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M., prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Kentucky Sheriffs Boys Ranch, 233 Sheriffs Ranch Rd. , Gilbertsville, KY 42044.
