Sherrie B. Ventura, 53, of Maquoketa, Iowa passed away on January 1, 2019 at Jackson County Regional Hospital. Per her wishes there will be a private family service held at a later date. Lahey and Dawson Funeral Service is caring for the family at this time.

Sherrie was born on April 30, 1965 to Ronald Goben and Delores Baker Cecil in St. Joseph, Missouri. She married Gerardo Ventura Ramos in the year 2000. She was a CNA as well as a homemaker.

She loved arts and crafts, her cats and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by her children; Terrence “TJ” (Heidi) Pickering of Dubuque, English Pickering of Dubuque, Lindsay (Chad) Thurston of Dubuque, Morgan Pickering of Illinois, Kerstin (Cristian) Hernandez of Dubuque, Dalton Pickering of Stockbridge, Georgia, Francisca Ventura of Dubuque, seven grandchildren, brothers; Skip (Sarah) Goben of Missouri and Ron Goben of Missouri. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
