Sherry Lee (Lovell) Madsen October 19, 1946 ~ November 10, 2018 Sherry Lee Lovell Madsen passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 19, 1946 in Rigby, ID. Her parents were Jay Thomas and Lois Jean Riding Lovell.

Sherry attended Bear River High School and later attended Weber State College. She married Steven Andrew Madsen on February 4, 1964 in Paris, ID. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Steve and Sherry were blessed with three sons who were her pride and joy. If you messed with one of them, you were going to answer to her. She worked a lifelong career in the heating and air conditioning field.

Sherry worked proudly alongside Steve and her sons up until her passing. She took great pride and joy in the family’s success. Steve and Sherry enjoyed their summers in Star Valley, WY and their winter months were spent in Arizona where they made lifelong friends.

Sherry enjoyed tying quilts, golfing, fishing, watching NASCAR, and annual family Harley rides. She loved her family more than anything and protected them with everything she had. She left her grandkids with lifelong memories they will always cherish and made sure each grandchild knew how truly special they were.

Sherry’s Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas Village were one of a kind. She made sure loved ones always had a warm quilt or afghan. Sherry is survived by her beloved husband, Steve; sons, Greg (Suzanne), Doug (Trish), Scot (Holly); 19 grandkids, and 9 great-grandkids, with one on the way.

She is also survived by her siblings, Carol (James) Yount, Cinda Barton, Boyd (Fredi) Barney, and Lori Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kelly Barney and Scott Hutchison, and her parents, including her step-father, Vergil Hutchison. Sherry left lasting impression on her niece and each of her nephews.

She lovingly and wholeheartedly supported her nephews and grandson during their military service to our beloved country. Sherry’s daily presence will be greatly missed and felt by many. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
