Sherry Maxine Funk February 14, 1954 – March 06, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Sherry Maxine Funk, age 65, of Jenkins, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cassville. She was born February 14, 1954 in Texas, the daughter of Jesse Thomas and Jimmie Maxine (Sutterfield) Chapman. On December 24, 1986 in Bentonville, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Paul Andrew “Andy” Funk, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Shane Dunback and his wife Joy of Oklahoma, Shawn Staton of Aurora, Missouri and Paul Funk of Jenkins, Missouri; one daughter, Sheena Akin of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Boden Chapman, Jesse Dunback, Jared Dunback, Michael Johnson, Heather Johnson, Harley Staton, Maranda Staton, Mikayla Carpenter and Harley Carpenter and nine great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents. Sherry had lived in several places as a child and in the 1980’s she moved to Bentonville, Arkansas where she was employed at a chicken plant.

A few years after she and Andy were married, they moved to Jenkins. She enjoyed making jewelry and being on the computer. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
