Obituary for Sherry Pyeatt FORT WORTH – Sherry passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her husband, daughters and family, Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Sherry was born July 26, 1937 in Norman, Okla. to James and Sarah Sinex.

She spent her younger years growing up on a ranch. Sherry attended Texas Tech University where she was crowned Maid of Cotton in 1956. She met and married the love of her life Charles D. Pyeatt, Jr. Sherry and Charlie moved to Fort Worth to begin their life together and raise their three daughters.

After years of being a loving wife and mother, she joined the workforce. Sherry worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Camp Fire Girls, a Non-Profit Organization, and later as Pre-school teacher’s aide at Arlington Heights Methodist Church. The job she was most devoted to was taking care of her family, her home and her grandchildren.

She is dearly loved and will be missed by all of her family and friends. Survivors: Husband of 61 years, Charles Delbert Pyeatt, Jr.; daughters, Debra (Paul) Lee, Melissa Cheatham, Sharla (Joe) Thompson; grandchildren, Chase Lee, Taylor Lee, Drew Cheatham, Macey Cheatham, Shelby Thompson, Charlie Thompson; brother, James A. (Pat) Sinex, III; sister, Sonja (Randy) Johnson; nieces, Jennifer Abramzyk and Sarah Greene; nephew, Reese Johnson.
