PLUMMER – Shirley A., 83, Summerhill, died March 4, 2019, at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born April 28, 1935, daughter of Leroy T. and Mildred A. (Johnson) Wiseman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Donald L. Plummer, who died April 17, 1988; infant son; grandson, Joshua Oswalt; and brother, Thomas Wiseman.

Survived by children, Brenda, wife of Craig Whitehead; John D.; Ronald L.; and Donald W., all of Summerhill; and Sheryl L. Crocitto, Altoona; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jade, Tyler, Katie, Rheanna, Nicholas, Angelina and Dakota; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; and sisters, Yvonne, wife of John Hughes, Ravenna, Ohio; Anna Jean “Jeannie,” wife of James Hughes, Mayfield Heights, Ohio; and JoAnn, widow of Carl Bodenschatz, Summerhill. Shirley was a member of Wilmore United Methodist Church. She had a passion for Pirates baseball and never missed a game on T.V.

She enjoyed working the voting polls for Summerhill Township and worked at McGough’s Fruit Market for many years. Known as “Gram” to many she was a devoted mother and cherished her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always offered a warm welcome into her home and was known for her loving and giving spirit.

Honoring her wishes there will be no public viewing, a private family memorial service will be held. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Special thanks to all the employees of Cambria Care and Grane Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
