Obituary for Shirley Ann Griffin (Cook) Shirley Ann Cook Griffin, 77, went home to be with Jesus and to reunite with her husband of 59 years and the love of her life, Pastor J. A. Griffin. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, George Washington “G. W” and Lorene Franklin Cook and sister, Ollie Tweed.

Mrs. Griffin was a faithful church member, Sunday School teacher and served her community faithfully as a Pastors wife. She was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Griffin; son, Gary Griffin (Brenda); sister, Reva Cutshall (Doyle); grandchildren, Kellen Griffin (Sarah), Zachary Griffin (Jessica), Kendra Collins (Terrance), Austin Griffin (Shelby); great grandchildren, Mollie Ogle, Zebulun and Benjamin Griffin, Hannah Noland and Joseph Griffin.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Pastor Kellen Griffin and Austin Griffin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Big Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery.
