Shirley Ann Tasse, age 80, of Lilburn, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Tommy Higgins officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

A native of Esom Hill, GA, Mrs. Tasse grew up a share cropper’s daughter of humble beginnings in Esom Hill and Cedartown, losing both of her parents at an early age. She was a seamstress with Arrow Shirt Company for many years, worked at Foote & Davies Printing Company and then owned and operated the Silver Needle custom bedding company in Marietta. Shirley loved to sew and make quilts and was also known to her family as an avid fisherman.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard Dick Tasse of Lilburn; sons and daughter-in-law, Tommy Higgins of Grayson, Keith & Virginia Higgins of Brunswick and Scott Higgins of Cordele; daughters and son-in-law, Lori and Mike Franji of Marietta and Jessica Tasse of Columbus; grandchildren, Nathan (Angela) Higgins, Josh Higgins, Taryn (Sara) Higgins, Drew Higgins, Adam Higgins, Devin Higgins, Sarah Higgins, Ashlee Franji, Alex Franji and Tyler Smith; great granddaughter, Caydence Higgins. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, (770) 564-2726.
